Meet Jennifer Enders

Getting to know me!

Hello and Welcome, I am Jennifer Enders and I am grateful for this opportunity to share a bit about myself and my clinical experience.

I earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology from NAU in 2001 and a Master of Art's Degree in Community Counseling from NAU in 2006. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My work experience ranges from psychiatric inpatient work to outpatient behavioral health work with adults, children, and families. I am also an infant mental health specialist with several years experience providing Child Parent Psychotherapy, Parent Child Relationship Therapy, and attachment work. In addition, I am a registered Meditation/ Mindfulness Teacher through The School of Positive Transformation. I recently completed a 250 hour Hatha Yoga Instructor Certification through Aura Wellness and have Level I/II Reiki training.

Overall experience includes over 21 years working with clients with different presenting concerns; such as depression, anxiety, burnout, addiction issues, conflict resolution, family conflict, parenting issues, trauma histories, health issues, and other various emotional and behavioral health challenges. I have over 8 years leadership experience in various roles as a Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director.

I like to use a person centered approach and I value the importance of a good therapeutic relationship, I try to provide a safe space for you and to support whatever you are going through. It can be so good to have a space free of judgement with someone who is not involved - to provide an objective point of view for you ! I draw from a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness Practices as part of the therapeutic interventions. I include a combination of homework assignments, and journaling, I am a firm supporter of self care practices and the use of meditation and mindfulness to benefit the whole person.

My counseling philosophy is one that explores experiences and belief systems to look at how these impact emotions and behaviors and thus have an impact on overall mental health symptoms. My expertise allows you to develop your own perspective of problem solving and empowers you to make the changes needed in order to accomplish your goals. This work is collaborative and together we can find what works best for you.

I was born and raised in Arizona. My husband and I are blessed with one daughter and a family of fur babies. In my spare time I enjoy my meditation practice, walking/ yoga, traveling, outdoors, reading, music, and family time.

Hope to hear from you soon!
