Surrender

What can we do when things are too much? 

I love the concept of surrender. This idea of relinquishing control or the attempt to control. So many things are out of our control, people spend an absorbent amount of time worrying about things. Surrender is not giving up- it is actually allowing things to unfold as they should. Surrender is actively not fighting or resisting things. This can be experiences, thoughts, feelings- all things. 

Ways to surrender- 

Allowing the thoughts to come without labeling, attaching, judging. 

Giving in to the sensations you are experiencing without trying to change anything. 

Not fighting what is. 

Relinquishing the need to control. 

Acceptance of the circumstances. 

Knowing you can do hard things. 

Knowing you can get through hard things. 

It is what it is. 

Let it be. 

Meditate. 

Breathe. 

Live and let live. 

The concept of surrender can sound really hard. But, if you take a step back and pause it is really easy. Acknowledge that maybe surrendering to whatever challenge you are facing is the ultimate answer. We do not need to search for solutions or fix things, just allow. Trust that the universe will provide and balance will return.
